Volunteers Make It All Possible
At WestSide Baby, our volunteers work hard every single day to help bring our mission to life. Each carefully packed order, bundled diaper, and sorted donation helps ensure that children in our community have the essentials they need to thrive.
Whether you’re joining us for a one-time shift or volunteering regularly, your time directly supports families in our region. Here are just a few of the ways our volunteers make an impact:
- Sort donations to ensure every item we distribute is clean, safe, and affirms a child’s value.
- Pack customized orders with essentials to keep children warm, help them learn, and inspire joy.
- Bundle diapers so babies in our community stay clean, dry, and healthy.
- Inspect car seats, strollers, and other gear to make sure it’s safe and ready for use.
- Drive our WestSide Baby van to pick up donated items from community drop-off sites.

Hosting an Offsite Volunteer Event
Assemble hygiene kits. Support local kids. Build community.
Bring your team together – in your own space – for a hands-on volunteer experience that makes a direct and immediate difference for local children and families.
WestSide Baby partners with corporations and community groups to host offsite hygiene kit assembly events. Your team provides the space, purchases the items, and assembles the kits. WestSide Baby provides the kit specifications, shopping list, assembly guidance, collateral, and connection to the families who will ultimately receive these essential items.

WestSide Baby Onsite Volunteer Guidelines
Our volunteer sessions are fun, rewarding, and inclusive. We have a few guidelines in place to ensure everyone’s safety and success!
- Please enter and exit the building through the front reception door.
- Closed-toed shoes are required.
- Volunteers are required to sign-in when arriving, sign-out when leaving, and notify staff if leaving early.
- WestSide Baby welcomes children ages 8 and older to volunteer.
- All children under 18 must have a minor consent form on file.
- Children 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult during their volunteer shift.
- Children 13 years old and older can volunteer on their own.
- Everyone attending a volunteer session must register online, including kids!
